THE STEWARD AT THE GATE OF TIME

The Steward at the Gate of Time is a metaphorical interpretation of the cycle of life as a continuum in which the life spirit embarks on a new journey, in a new dimension after the physical body ceases its functions. This idea is often represented in the serpent biting its tail in various cultures, including SubSaharan African myths. The intention in this painting is to recreate a visually impactful atmosphere of mystery in reference to the mysteries of life.
